About Us
PDT affects change through three primary project areas: Economic Recovery, Research and the development of Operational Innovations. It was founded in 2005, and since that time, has worked in more than 12 countries around the world. The organization is headquartered in New York City and Ottawa and has field offices in Afghanistan, Haiti and Timor-Leste.
The Timor-Leste Building Markets Portal is part of the Peace Dividend Marketplace Timor-Leste (PDM-TL) project, which was launched in Dili in August of 2007. Its objective is to help create jobs and inspire long-term economic growth and stability in Timor-Leste by encouraging the international community, and national and regional buyers, to use locally available goods and services to carry out their project work.
In Timor-Leste, PDT provides the following free services:
1. Business Portal
2. Business Matchmaking
3. Tender Distribution Services
4. Market Information and Advocacy

PDT would like to thank the Arsenault Family Foundation, the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives, Eni, and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who have made this project possible through their generous support.
About this Site
The Building Markets site (Business Portal) is part of the Peace Dividend Marketplace Timor-Leste (PDM-TL) project, which is operated by Peace Dividend Trust (PDT), a non-profit organization dedicated to making peace and humanitarian operations more effective, efficient and equitable.
The overarching goal of the Business Portal is to help create jobs and inspire long-term economic growth and stability in Timor-Leste by facilitating and increasing access to locally available goods and services.
The Portal contains a business directory with comprehensive profiles of verified local companies searchable by sector and location; a tender directory where suppliers can gain access to new business opportunities; relevant research on the Timor-Leste marketplace; and other important information on PDT’s services.
For more information on PDT's work around the world, please visit the "About Us" tab at the bottom of the homepage and the PDT website: www.pdtglobal.org.
PDT would like to thank the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs who provided support for the business portal upgrade, including new dual language capability.
