Government of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste
The Government of Timor-Leste is a key partner, acting as a strong supporter of PDT and a frequent user of the Peace Dividend Marketplace matchmaking and tender distribution services. In 2009, President Ramos-Horta provided a strong endorsement of PDT and its approach by saying that, in his view, “…PDT was directly responsible for changing the way international agencies looked at procurement, and for increasing the amount of money being spent ‘in’ the country as opposed to just ‘on’ Timor-Leste.” (Further information can be obtained at www.timor-leste.gov.tl)
Ministerio Do Turismo Comercio e Iindustria (MTCI)/ Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry of Timor-Leste (MTCI)
The MTCI is the government body that is involved in development, regulation and evaluation of tourism, business and industry activities and policies in Timor-Leste. Since 2008, PDT has maintained a strong relationship with the MTCI. PDT has trained MTCI staff in business verification and in the management and maintenance of the online supplier directory. SDV
SDV is a subsidiary of Bolloré, a highly diversified, independent industrial group that ranks among the world’s top 10 in transport and logistics. SDV was the first international logistics company to set up an office in Dili in November 1999, and recently became the first corporate sponsor of the Peace Dividend Marketplace business portal. Timor-Leste Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program (RWSSP)
The Timor-Leste RWSSP is funded by AusAID to provide assistance to the Government of Timor-Leste and civil society organizations for the development of rural water supply, sanitation and hygiene (RWASH) activities in Timor-Leste. PDT and the Procurement Division of RWSSP are collaborating on tender distribution to develop and promote efficient and transparent procurement practices in Timor-Leste, thus promoting economic growth and job creation.
TendersZeal
TendersZeal.com is a comprehensive global tenders notification service that provides up-to-date information on global tender notices from government and private organizations all over the world. In an effort to improve the tender research capability of our three existing marketplace projects in Afghanistan, Haiti and Timor Leste respectively, PDT has partnered with TendersZeal by subscribing to their online tender service. These tenders are for use by PDT registered vendors only and are not to be forwarded to third parties. Anyone found misusing this service will be removed from the directory.
